Summer Safety Programs
Every Wednesday in July and August, we welcome the community to our Walk-In Wednesdays!
Come and tour The Safety Village and meet local emergency services crews who will be on hand to answer questions about themselves and their equipment in an interactive, hands on experience.
Children will have the opportunity to enjoy a cool puppet show and awesome interactive learning activities inside. Outside they can check out our miniature village on Foot, by Bike or in a Jeep! Our FANTASTIC summer staff will be on hand to interact with and ensure that you have an afternoon full of fun and learning about how to play safe! .
We also offer morning and afternoon tours to groups, day cares and summer camps looking for a few hours of fun.

Trick of Treat in the Village

It’s time for little spooks and friendly ghosts to get their spooky-style ready for The Safety Village’s annual “not-so-scary” Trick or Treat in The Village event. This trick-or-treating adventure is a family friendly event that combines Halloween fun with important lessons in staying safe.
Children enjoy experiencing the Village dressed up in their costumes for a treat-filled adventure that includes exploring the haunted Village where they encounter familiar safety friends Sparky, Siren and Elmer.
In addition to ghosts, goblins and gremlins, kids always enjoy learning safety tips in our safe, fun interactive environment. Local police, fire and EMS professionals will be on site with their emergency vehicles so kids can get up close to a real fire truck, police car and ambulance.
Admission donation of only $5.00 per child requested, no charge for adults or children 2 and under. All proceeds will go towards The Safety Village in support of our ongoing safety programs.
Santa Visits the Village
Save the date- Tuesday December 12th for Santa Visits The Village.
He is bringing with him a whole host of Holiday Safety Tips, Treats and Activities. This festive adventure is a family friendly event that combines Holiday fun with important lessons in staying safe.
Families can enjoy experiencing our outdoor Village decorated for the Holidays. In addition, children can take a jeep ride through the Village, warm up with a mug of hot chocolate thanks to Tim Hortons, or get crafty in Santa’s workshop.
Throughout the evening, everyone is invited to learn a few seasonal safety tips from Elmer the Safety Elephant and Sparky the Fire Dog. Local police, fire and EMS professionals will be on site with their emergency vehicles so kids can get up close to a real fire truck, police car and ambulance.
