How do I start a Watch?

Neighbourhood Watch Windsor will help you kick off a program in your neighbourhood.  We'll provide you with all the tools you'll need to get your Watch up and running.

Here you will find all of the necessary forms to help you through the process.

 The process to start a Neighbourhood Watch in Windsor is as follows:

    1. 1. Fill out an application and submit it to our office

      2. We will help you obtain a
      Police Clearance from Windsor Police Service - To see more information about how to this, visit the Windsor Police Website here. You MUST bring your form to Windsor Police Headquarters. We cannot process these forms through our office.

      3. Submit your completed Police Clearance to the Neighbourhood Watch Windsor office.

    2. 4. Attending a training session. Typically training sessions are held monthly at different venues around the city.

    3. 5. Canvas your Neighbourhood and distribute Neighbourhood Watch Windsor information and gather your neighbours contact information on
      these sheets these sheets. You may also provide them with this sheet which provides your Neighbours with your information and important numbers to call in case of emergency.

    4. 6. Submit the contact information sheets to the NWW office.

    5. 7. Once all information and forms have been submitted a new Neighbourhood Watch Windsor sign will be installed on your block. We try to install them on each end of your block.
